All or nothing thinking + how it's ruining your life

Hey there!

Trying to start a healthy eating or exercise plan are two things we can ALL relate to. You set an unrealistic goal for yourself like "I'm going to eat healthy every single meal and exercise every single day."

Then you have a stressful day at work. You come home and eat a whole box of Oreos double stuff cookies and skip exercising that day, consider yourself a total failure and give up altogether. Then sit on the couch with your friends Self-loathing and Self-blame and think about what a hopeless loser you are. I know! I've been there! Many times!

This is all or nothing thinking.

When you think this way, everything is to the extreme. Black and white. Total success or total failure. 100% or zero %. There's no grey area in between. You see everything as pass or fail and a good effort doesn't count.

It's ramping up your anxiety to ludicrous speed while simultaneously putting the brakes on healthy living habits like clean eating and exercise. I like a fast roller coaster ride, but let me off this one!

In this episode you'll learn:

  • how to recognize all or nothing thinking

  • 3 easy ways to get off the roller coaster of black and white thinking

  • how to NOT beat yourself up every time you eat a piece of cake

  • why being kind to YOU is the greatest gift you can give to yourself

If you want to succeed the next time you try to start eating healthy, exercising, or even begin a new hobby - with NONE of the guilt, shaming, and self loathing - watch this now.

I want to hear from you!

Can you relate to trying to start something new only to fail over and over? The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. Thanks Einstein! We got it genius. Rolls eyes.

Grab a pen and paper (because handwriting has been shown to engage your brain!) and ask yourself these two questions:

  1. Am I a perfectionist?

  2. What one thing would I do if I knew I couldn't fail?

Then share your answers in the comments below. #1. You'll see you are not alone. #2. This could be the thing you most want in life and the best place to start to get rid of your all or nothing thinking!

It's time to start doing what you really want to do in life!

Cheerio!
